“The Governor says Maine’s mills aren’t competitive because our electricity prices are too high. He wants bigger gas pipelines coming into New England, to drive down gas prices for power plants. He also wants Maine to change regulations to allow Canadian hydro-power to be fed into the state. The Governor claims that power would be substantially cheaper than the electricity Maine buys now.”
